As Mother Earth with Father Sky "demonstrate", what is put forth in the great mystery ...; a mystery in truth gone dorment and dissipated long ago, is now strictly theory--at best food for thought. As Mother Earth ends a season she always plants seeds for the future that are brought to life by Father Sky; fore one can not just live peacefully in the present without "intent" for the future--not a man, an organization, a tribe, a nation. This seed may have some ferilizer from "old" leaves, but it isn't necessary. This is the foundation of good leadership; planting the seed for a way of life, for the "next" direction. That seed is produced from the current conditions with roots in times past of which we can only speculate. Without intent or insightful leadership we get what we have today with federal and tribal governments. A leader plants the seed. Wallowing in the past is not tangible because their is no vision—just speculation—it is meant to be that way. To "be" content for today means loving the moment with a seed planted for the future, and faith that sky(creation) will bring that vision real. It all means change and the cycle will continue "forward". Looking back is simply of emotional significance, in denial of motion, action and being; attempting to live today in the bodies of our ancesters—like ghosts.
But Mother Earth and Father Sky demonstrated last spring in the desert southwest after no rain for 20 years, a coming together and producing a spectacular sight when all those seeds planted years ago-- came to life.
New ceremonies are necessary, maybe even imparative. A generation now exists without a connection to nature, family or intent—this is why such obesity—no seeds planted, no demonstrated faith in action; no leadership demonstrating (living the example, no talk even necessary) the significance of seeds planted.
We are wrapped in Mother Earth/Father Sky to teach us every day and every night, —so apparent, so easy to see.
